Liz is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of experience as a critical care, burn, and trauma resuscitation nurse. Spending half a decade working in Washington DC's premier level one trauma and burn resuscitation unit, Liz worked closely with other healthcare professionals, firefighters, police & detectives, government officials, paramedics & EMTs, and military personnel. First-hand experience with the profound impact of these uniquely stressful professions provided Liz with an intimate understanding of the mental health struggles and unique treatment needs of those who have dedicated their lives to public service.

Driven by her personal experiences and a profound commitment to improving the complex landscape of mental health care for first responders, Liz pursued an intentionally interdisciplinary academic path, first earning a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice & Criminology from the University of Massachusetts, and subsequently completing her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. Her professional and academic background seamlessly integrates personalized psychiatric care that prioritizes both symptom management and professional functionality. Known for her warm, funny, relatable, and open spirit, Liz's approach transforms traditional mental health care, bridging systemic understanding with compassionate, targeted therapeutic approaches for frontline workers and their families.​
